SELF-ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF YOUR LEARNING

My self-assessment and evaluation of my learning during the process, I can say that it was very useful to apply the knowledge acquired in my future classes and to be better as a teacher. For example, welcome our students make them feel more motivated to continue with the classes. To be honest, knowing this about the first day is vital to define and to be ready what we are going to do to encourage our students or answer their question. This kind of actions mark a start and a end. I evaluate my learning with a good as I consider that this will benefit my classes and my students.

This year, I have learned a lot about teaching because I finally started practicing how to be a teacher in classes with many students. Besides, I have acquired a lot of information on how to implement speaking, listening, reading and writing activities in the classroom and also, how to cope in a good way with classes and students. I evaluated myself with a lot of knowledge but not enough because I still need to learn a lot more, it's just the beginning of my professional career; that's why, practice is very important.

I really like this profession, but I feel that I must learn in all areas to be an excellent teacher, but even so, all teachers find their ideal subject and each one discovers their skills and development in the classroom and with their new students each year. On the other hand, teachers also learn from the lives of students; Before we were students and we didn't understand the way the teachers taught, but now as beginning teachers, we discovered how it feels to be on the teaching side, and I really like having acquired and experienced this profession.

Finally, I hope to learn more from the knowledge acquired because we learn every day, and a good teacher needs to be molded with experience and knowledge to be able to teach their students every day and likewise, as we have learned from many teachers throughout our educational process, likewise , we can leave a mark in the lives of our future students.

This year, as a student, I learned many things throughout the semester, such as responsibilities, patience, and hard work, because in the internship as a teacher, you not only study for a grade, you learn for the point of finding our dream as professionals in the future, I learned how great it is to learn from students and teach them the knowledge that can help them in the future. The information that I learned on this subject, Teaching; was very incredible for me because I was able to develop my speaking skills. It was great for me because I was very timid, and I was able to get over that fear.

This year I learned patience because I understood that each student learns in different ways. The students have intelligence in different ways. As a student, it was a huge challenge, but at the end of the semester, I had a lot of knowledge; that will help me throughout the years.

This year was full of surprises. I was nervous about my first class with my students, but I remember they were really kind to me. I have learned a lot from them; they showed me how to be a great teacher. I know that there are many things I have to improve; however, I am sure that I did an excellent job. Moreover, teaching is not an easy task since I experienced a lot of difficulties throughout the course, but  I looked for strategies to solve the problem thanks to all the activities and practices that we did in our Teaching Practice class.

Nevertheless, I have to improve my demonstration of warmth and enthusiasm to start the class better. Another thing is that I must pay attention to the pronunciation of some words that my cooperating teacher gave to me. Finally, I am very grateful to my students, my cooperating teacher, and my practice peer because they were fundamental parts of my teaching and learning process.

I consider that the teamwork for this activity was a little disappointing due to the miss-coordination we had during the planning of this activity. We could have done a better job with the development of the wiki. The consequences of procrastination are very noticeable; still, I truly believe that our work is something admirable. We had a very hard time as the agenda for every one was full of activities still we managed to carry out this activity successfully in a very short period of time for that I rate myself with an "A" which stands for a very good job on my part.

I evaluate the learning not only in this activity but also during TPI classes as successful. Even though I still have a lot to learn, this activity has proved to be very useful for my future, and I'm really grateful for that.

SELF-ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF YOUR LEARNING

I consider that I have learned a lot because this information is very clear and precise. It goes from easy things like checking if there are outlets in the classroom to more complex ones like explaining your and campus policies.  As I mentioned, some of these things may look like easy tasks, but we as new teachers need to learn everything even though they are easy things.

In sum, I have learned a lot with this information, and from now on I’m more than sure that I will improve a lot, and my classes will be better since the first day.

In this blog entry, I will share my personal reflection on my journey as an aspiring ESL teacher, exploring how self-assessment has shaped my learning and teaching practices.

Self-reflection has been a powerful tool in my journey as an ESL teacher. Regularly setting aside time to reflect on my teaching experiences, classroom dynamics, and student interactions has allowed me to gain valuable insights. Through self-reflection, I have been able to recognize my strengths, such as my passion for teaching and ability to create a positive classroom environment. Additionally, it has helped me identify areas for improvement, such as my classroom management techniques or the need to incorporate more student-centered activities.

Seeking feedback from experienced mentors and collaborating with peers has been instrumental in my growth as an ESL teacher. Engaging in discussions, sharing lesson plans, and observing experienced educators have provided me with valuable perspectives and constructive criticism. These interactions have not only helped me refine my teaching strategies but have also inspired me to try new approaches and explore innovative instructional techniques.

Evaluating student progress and understanding their individual needs is crucial in effective ESL teaching. Regularly assessing my students' language proficiency, tracking their development, and observing their engagement in the classroom has allowed me to tailor my instruction to their specific requirements. Analyzing assessment results and reflecting on the impact of my teaching strategies has helped me adjust my approach to better support my students' language learning journey.

As soon as I am concerned, I have learned a lot about this topic since it gave us a manual to be prepared for our first class. The information is clear because it shows me the general strategies that I need to take into account to get a great start in our class. Therefore, I learned that I must be prepared to avoid some drawbacks when giving the first class, which is the most important since I must make the best impression on the students. Additionally, I learned that I have to pay more attention to everything related to student attendance so that I will keep a careful record of each student in the classes taught.

Moreover, I learned that I must continue implementing and improving the icebreaker activities at the beginning of each class. As a result, I will opt to include physical exercise activities as this will relax the students and make them more willing to participate during the class. Undoubtedly, I will apply the suggestions that this topic, ''The first days of class,'' has given me in my future classes.
